Hawaii Five-O Actor Confirmed to Voice the Lead in Star Wars: Resistance

After Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni has immediately started work on the next animated SW series called Star Wars Resistance. The show will focus on a new protagonist named Kazuda Xiono, and it looks like the voice actor has finally been revealed.

According to Star Wars Insider (via Reddit), Kazuda will be voiced by Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives, Hawaii Five-O). Other stars that will be joining him on the show are Donald Faison (Scrubs), Suzie McGrath (EastEnders), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), and Bobby Moynihan (SNL). We should also expect some recurring voice actors like Jim Rash (Community) and Josh Brenner (Silicon Valley).

Just to give you an idea of what Sean sounds like, here's one of his scenes on Hawaii:

What's cool about the show is, they will also be bringing in the movie actors to reprise their roles in the animated series. Gwendoline Christie will be reprising the role of Captain Phasma, and Oscar Isaac will also be voicing Poe Dameron. There's also a rumor going around that Adam Driver will also come to the show to voice Kylo Ren.

For a show that's set to premiere later this year, Disney still hasn't given us an official first look at the characters. Hopefully Filoni will bring something with him come the Clone Wars panel at SDCC 2018.

Expect Star Wars Resistance to premiere sometime later this year on Disney XD.
