Harrison Ford ‘Couldn’t be Happier’ with Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story is one of the most anticipated movies of May, but it doesn't have the involvement of original Han Solo, Harrison Ford. Ford, however, was still able to enjoy the movie as a member of the audience, and he apparently loved what Alden Ehrenreich brought to the screen.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Ford said:

"I just thought it was spectacular… I thought [star Alden Ehrenreich] was so smart about what he did and how he did it. I just couldn't be happier."

It's no secret to the fans that Ford has always been a grump whenever it comes to Star Wars, and it was his idea to have Han Solo killed off way back in Return of the Jedi. Whenever Ford shows enthusiasm with the franchise, though, the fans absolutely love it.

With Alden Ehrenreich being cast as Han, a lot of fans have been showing their disappointment online on how he doesn't even look or sound like Ford. Director Ron Howard, however, has said that the casting for a young Han Solo wasn't always about doing a Harrison Ford impression, but more of bringing a certain charm and body language that is genuine Han Solo.

With Ford's approval, I hope that several pessimistic fans will end up loving Ehrenreich in Solo: A Star Wars Story when it hits theaters May 25.
