Han Solo’s Former Director Congratulates Johnson For The Last Jedi Trailer

Chris Miller might have every reason to hate Lucasfilm after the studio decided to fire him and his directorial partner Phil Lord from his role as the helmsmen of its Han Solo spinoff, however, just like every other Star Wars fan, the filmmaker pretty much enjoyed the new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars fans have been waiting for the trailer for months, and Lucasfilm finally decided to drop the preview during Monday Night Football's halftime last night.

Posting on Twitter, Miller congratulated The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson for the new trailer, and Johnson amicably received the regards, joking on how he was "a full week behind on crosswords."

It's great to see that Miller holds no contempt to Johnson and The Last Jedi. There was a lot of controversy after Lucasfilm decided to let go of Miller and Lord earlier this year. The two had come close to finishing production on Han Solo before they had been removed from the project, and most of the filmmaker's footage had been deemed usable by their replacement, Ron Howard.

Thankfully it seems like Han Solo's production has been going on smoothly, and hopefully, we'll get to have more news on the spinoff soon.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on December 15, 2017. Han Solo on the other hand debuts May 25, 2018.
