Han Solo: Woody Harrelson Reveals More About His Character Beckett

We know just how secretive Lucasfilm is about their projects, but Woody Harrelson, who stars in the upcoming Han Solo movie, has shared to us a few details about his character Beckett.

Talking to The Evening Standard, Harrelson reveals:

"I am totally psyched to be making a Star Wars film… But the secrecy is on another level. What I can say he's a good character, he is a mentor to Han and a criminal, but good at heart."

This is interesting news, counting that the only thing we knew about Beckett was that he was going to act as a mentor character for Han. The best guess would have had Beckett try to hunt down Han after he decides to go off smuggling by himself.

Based on Harrelson's description, it looks like Beckett will be some sort of Fagin character from the book Oliver Twist. In that novel, Oliver finds solace in a group of pickpockets lead by an old man named Fagin who is awfully nice to his band of thieves despite being a criminal.

A lot of people who've read the script for Han Solo have been praising it to be the best Star Wars movie ever written, so a lot of hype and pressure is being built up for directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Let's hope the duo delivers.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out on May 25, 2018.
