It looks like the upcoming Han Solo standalone movie just might have a delayed release date.

The Star Wars spinoff film was originally scheduled to show in theaters starting May 25, 2018, however new rumors indicate that Disney just might push the date three months back. According to a report by Making Star Wars, Hollywood industry insiders have caught wind of reports saying Disney is thinking of moving the release to December 13, 2018 release instead.

Though there haven't been any changes to the May 2018 release date just yet, it could be possible that Disney would opt to have the release date moved to December seeing that all the other previous Star Wars films like The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story all did exceptionally well with their December releases. Disney just might be hoping to replicate this success for the Han Solo spinoff.

However, until the studio makes an official announcement regarding the Han Solo release date shift, it's best that fans hold on to their horses and take these rumors with a grain of salt. LucasFilm and Disney could change their minds and keep the May 2018 debut, or they could decide to go for a December 2018 release at the drop of a hat. The best thing to do is to wait and see.
