Jean Gray might have been Wolverine's most notable romantic love interest, but in the comics, Logan used to share a few lip locks with the fiery, weather controlling Ororo Munroe. Though the romance between the two was never featured in any of the X-Men films, Halle Berry says that Storm used to have a fling with Wolverine before Jean came along.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Berry decided that it was finally time to let out something that she knew about Storm, but nobody else knew," revealing the character's romantic history with Logan in the X-Men movie universe.
"Storm and Logan used to be lovers, It's true. Storm and Logan had a thing … I joke in the movies, I'm like, How come nobody's loving on Storm. Like what's wrong with Storm? Nobody is checking for Storm .. So, we decided that Storm and Logan had a thing, and then Jean came and messed that up … When he really decided that Jean Grey was his love that caused a problem … The having two girls at once thing, that didn't work for Storm."
Sure it never came up in the final cut, but a deleted scene from Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future past actually shows Logan giving Storm a kiss goodbye before going back in time to change history.
While many X-Men fans consider Jean Gray as Logan's greatest love , Storm and Wolverine also had a good thing going in the comics, especially after the weather-controlling mutant decided to divorce Black Panther.
New Mutants, the next X-Men movie, is slated for release on April 13, 2018.
