Avengers: Infinity War is a massive Marvel superhero film that plans to bring in more than 60 Marvel characters and for a long time the rumor mill has predicted that the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy would be part of the colossal roster.  Vin Diesel confirmed these rumors by saying that Groot would be battling with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk back in December last year. Now, another Guardians of the Galaxy actress, Zoe Saldana confirms her character’s participation in the Avengers: Infinity War.

In an Interview with MTV News during last weekend’s Golden Globe Awards, Saldana revealed that Gamora really was going to join the upcoming  Marvel superhero mash-up in Avengers: Infinity War just like the rumors had inidcated. While she hadn’t seen the script just yet and she isn’t so keen on spending five hours on her character’s makeup, the actress is very excited to join the Avenger’s fray. Though it can be hassle to dress the part of Gamora, she feels pretty glad to be part of Marvel everytime she’s on set.

With Groot and Gamorra confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, fans can pretty much assume that Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill, Dave Bautista’s Drax the Destroyer, and Bradely Cooper’s Rocket Racoon would appear in the film as well.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premieres on the big screen on My 5 this year while Avengers: Infinity War is slated for its cinematic debut on May 4, 2018.
