Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s Ego Shares Relationships & Expectations

Kurt Russell's character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is far from being a secret. But even when the big reveal was over and done with, there are still a couple of mysteries that some fans feel they need to know.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, the actor revealed how two other characters in the movie will have some form of important dynamic with his character. The first is with his son Star-Lord. The dynamic there is one where Star-Lord has believed his whole life about his father, but is now confronted with having the real one right in front of him.

Star-Lord is not the only person who may have a rather topsy-turvy relationship with Ego in the movie. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ego will also be sharing the screen with Mantis with an entirely different dynamic.

"She's an important player, and her relationship to me and to the movie is an important one, so they're all important. He knows the rocks he's lifting, and put that back underneath there and we'll get to that in the third act. He's got a very full painter's palette. It's very intricate."

It's pretty obvious that Russell can't divulge too much about the mechanics. But from the looks of it, audiences will have their own moments where they will ask just what kind of relationship and dynamic is happening onscreen. I guess this is what happens when the movie places a very big importance on relationships for the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be in theaters on May 5.
