Gremlins 3 is Coming! Here's How It Might Follow The Jurassic World Model

A third Gremlins film is coming, and according to franchise star Zach Galligan, it won't be a reboot nor a remake; it will be a direct sequel to the first two films.

Galligan recently showed up at a screening for the original 1984 film at London's Prince Charles Cinema, and during a Q&A session, he revealed the plans for the sequel:

"It's not going to be a reboot. It will not be a remake in any way, shape, or form. Chris Columbus has come out and said that the first film is very near and dear to his heart and as long as he is alive it will never be remade."

And here's how he likened the sequel to Jurassic World:

"I swear on my life, I don't know if I'm in it or not, but I think there is probably a decent chance since I'm one of the few people left standing from the first movie."

I'm glad that more studios are deciding to escape that tiring trend of remakes and reboots. There's no official word from the studio or anyone else involved, but he's obviously been talking to someone about it. He said that he didn't know if he'll be a part of it:

"I swear on my life, I don't know if I'm in it or not, but I think there is probably a decent chance since I'm one of the few people left standing from the first movie."

With Ghostbusters and Terminator franchises bringing back their iconic actors, I don't see why they won't bring him back in the sequel. And of course, it would be great if they bring back Gizmo.

So what would you like to see in Gremlins 3?
