In March, Spider-Man is in for the fight of his life, against the returning Green Goblin and the debuting Hobgoblin in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man arc Go Down Swinging. Writer Dan Slott is once again joined by acclaimed artist Stuart Immonen, in what has been hyped up as the "final battle" between Spidey and the Green Goblin. Considering how many "final battles" take place in comics, this won't likely be permanent, though it should be a ton of fun given the creative team.
Starting with Amazing Spider-Man #797 and leading up to the character's 800th issue milestone, this definitely seems like the kind of story worthy of the occasion. While we haven't seen Green Goblin since the end of Superior Spider-Man, we have seen Norman Osborn pop up in Amazing Spider-Man, trying to become the Green Goblin again. How the mysterious new Red Goblin plays a role has yet to be revealed but he sure doesn't look friendly.

Marvel also released a teaser trailer for the arc, showing the numerous battles the two have had over the years. The rivalry between the two has been intense, to say the least, so this should be an epic battle, especially since Stuart Immonen is drawing it.
