Gotham Star Wants To Become The DCEU’s Damian Wayne

The DC Extended Universe may have not had the best start last year with the divisive Batman v Superman and the poorly written Suicide Squad, however Warner Bros. has started branching off, starting work on various spinoff movies. Not only has the studio announced a standalone movie for Barbara Gordon's Batgirl, it's also announced a new Nightwing solo.

Though these projects are still waiting to officially start production, it seems like Gotham's David Mazouz is ready to suit up and play the part of Damian Wayne. The 16-year-old television and film star took to Twitter to start his campaign to join the DCEU as Damian Wayne, posting some fan art of himself as the son of the Dark Knight and Talia al Ghul. Using the hashtag "davidfordamian," the young Gotham star asked follower's to retweet his post.

Mazouz might be a bit lanky, but he'd certainly make a good Robin. Mazouz has a lot of energy in Gotham and that energy could certainly be used to play the spirited son of Bruce in any DCEU installment. Sure the young star would have to practice his acrobatic fighting skills, but that could easily come with some serious training.

Warner Bros. may not be casting Damian Wayne just yet, but if they do, they know how to look for.

The DCEU's next film, Justice League, premieres November 17, 2017.
