Gorgeous Batman Ninja Clip Shows How the Dark Knight Ended Up in Feudal Japan

There hasn't been an animated DC film that has had the hype of Batman Ninja. Maybe it's the gorgeous animation or the balls-to-the-wall concept but the fact remains that both anime and DC fans are keeping their eye on this film. With the film's digital and physical release date nearing, the first dubbed clip has been released to hype up the movie.

As expected, the movie looks gorgeous and the world is officially a worse place since this movie isn't getting a theatrical release. In terms of animation alone, it blows away both The Killing Joke and Batman and Harley Quinn. The clip doesn't divulge too much information for those that are wary of spoilers.

We know that Gorilla Grodd is the one who invented the machine that sends Batman and himself to feudal Japan, along with a number of the Caped Crusader's allies and enemies. The clip also shows that the incident happened at Arkham Asylum, which should answer how the foes of Batman got transported.

Interestingly enough, the clip only shows Batman, Catwoman, and Grodd, so we're still not sure how Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood make it to the past. Seems like we will have to wait for the film to find out how they aid their ally.

Batman Ninja hits digital platforms on April 24 and gets a physical release on May 8.
