George Lucas Still Offers Lucasfilm A Bit Of Insight On The Star Wars Movies

George Lucas may no longer be directly in charge of the Star Wars saga, however it seems like the creator of Hollywood's most popular science fiction franchise still gives Lucasfilm a bit of advice on a few things regarding the sequel trilogy.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly at this year's Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy admitted that though Lucas no longer offers input on the direction of the franchise, he still does offer insight on a few things about the new films, including matters he feels are important to a Jedi's training.

When asked whether Lucas would still give some input on the new stories being developed for the Star Wars franchise, Kennedy answered:

"Not really. But he'll whisper in my ear every now and then. Usually, it's something specific or important to him about Jedi training. Things like that."

Of course, after selling off the rights to Lucasfilm and all its assets to Disney back in 2012, Lucas no longer has the right to call the shots on any Star Wars movie. It is interesting though that Kennedy still allows the Star Wars creator to offer advice on the little things.

We wonder whether Lucas offered any insight on Rey's (Daisy Ridley) training in The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on December 15, 2017.
