Everyone knows that the big bad for this round of Injustice 2 is Brainiac—even if his tentacle power isn’t exactly what a lot of fans want.

However, fans who preorder Injustice 2 will be given the other baddie, Darkseid. And according to the newest trailer from NetherRealm Studios, we get to see what happen to Darkseid when you think you can easily take him.

Darkseid’s powers are pretty standard—he can shoot laser rom his eyes and teleport the opponent. He also has his army of parademons, ready to do his bidding. I even appreciate the nice little banter with Brainiac, proving that it’s really hard for two villains to get along:

It’s almost too funny to listen to the banter between the two villains:

Brainiac: Are you a god?

Darkseid: From the fiery depths of Apokolips

Brainiac: No time for classification

This villain, supposedly obtainable as a preorder, is supposed to be the incarnate of hate. The lord of Apokolps, he’s supposed to be the biggest baddie of the DC universe to date—though we’ll have to see how Brainiac will fare against him.

Darkseid is no stranger to the world of Injustice. Fans have already seen a similar design for the mobile version and back then his powers weren’t; really as flexible. There were some cooler references such as the Pit where Darkseid gets to throw his opponents. I would want to know if a similar approach is given now.

Injustice 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
