Game of Thrones Villain Joins Godzilla 2

There may be a bigger monster than Godzilla in the sequel. That's because the Game of Thrones head Lannister, Charles Dance, is joining the cast.

According to Deadline, Dance has already signed the deal with Legendary and Warner Bros. for the sequel dubbed Godzilla: King of Monsters. We don't know yet what role Dance would have in the movie, but we are hoping that he wouldn't be as sinister as Tywin Lannister was in Game of Thrones.

The announcement also came with confirmation that Sally Hawkins is already set to reprise her role as Dr. Vivienne Graham from Gareth Edwards' first movie.

Godzilla 2 is pretty grand in terms of casting. Other cast members who were confirmed earlier include Stranger Things darling Millie Bobby Brown, Vega Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Ken Watanabe, Aisha Hinds, and O'Shea Jackson Jr.

There has been no news about Godzilla: King of Monsters except for these casting updates. So far, the storyline for the sequel hasn't been set yet. However, the film will be co-written by Michael Dougherty and Zach Shields. It will also be a good steppingstone for building the Legendary and Warner Bros cinematic universe that bumps together monsters in their own origin movies, like Kong: Skull Island, in preparation for 2020's monster movie bash, Godzilla vs Kong.

Godzilla: King of Monsters will arrive in theaters on May 2019.
