Game of Thrones Interactive iBooks Will Bring More Content for Apple Users


Game of Thrones may leave you simmering for a couple more months before its explosive next season. But for those who will just be picking up George R.R. Martin's books—and even those who have already read them from cover to cover again and again—there's a new set coming to Apple users to get your back in the game of reading.

The author announced via is official blog that there will be a new enhanced Game of Thrones iBook edition in celebration of the 20 years since the book first hit the shelves.

Martin invites readers to enjoy some more amazing features that will let fans have a deeper look into the great houses of Westeros. The new features include:

> Gorgeous new covers
> Interactive character maps
> Extensive annotations
> Character journeys and timelines
> Family trees and histories
> House and sigil summaries
> Stunning illustrations

More than this, A Game of Thrones: Enhanced Edition also features an extract from the upcoming sixth novel, The Winds of Winter, so that's a nice new addition for those who already have the current books in their shelves.

A Game of Thrones: Enhanced Edition will be available exclusively on iBooks for U.S. and Canada residents. The enhanced editions for books 2 to 5 in the original A Song of Ice and Fire series are already up for preorders.
