Warning: This article contains spoilers for the final episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones.
A lot certainly happened during the season 7 finale of Game of Thrones. Not only did "The Dragon and the Wolf" bring together the series major players, the episode also had the Night King tear down the Wall by using the resurrected Viserion's blue flame.
To make matters worse, not only is the Night King's army of undead heading down south, but Game of Thrones left fans to wonder about the fate of the lovable Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) and Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) who were left on top of the Wall while most of the façade broke down.
Taking to Instagram, Hivju decided to ask fans to "pray" for the giant-woman-loving Tormund and Beric as he posed together with his Game of Thrones co-star.

There isn't a lot of certainty whether the two will be kept alive, and "The Dragon and the Wolf" episode director tries to keep things under cover, telling fans he honestly doesn't know what'll happen next.
"I can honestly tell you that I don't know," the director explained in an interview with IGN. "I've also chosen not to know. I'm sure Dan [Weiss, EP] and David [Benioff, EP] know and the other people working on the next season know, but we certainly wanted to keep it open by the end of the episode. Open to interpretation. We didn't put a fine point on it about who survived and who didn't. It certainly doesn't look great for those who were on the Wall though."
Game of Thrones might be known for its character deaths, but hopefully the plot armor around Tormund and Beric's thick enough to help them survive the fall of the Wall. We all want to see the wildling get his time with Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and make giant babies that'll rule the world.
Game of Thrones season 8 premieres sometime 2018 or 2019.
