Game Of Thrones 7: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Weighs On Cersei's Big Reveal In The Last Episode

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES SEASON 7 EPISODE ‘EASTWATCH']

Though we didn't get any more grandiose battle sequences in the last episode of Game of Thrones, we did get a lot of big reveals as well as a return of Robert Baratheon's bastard Gendry Waters. Queen of the Seven Kingdoms Cersei Lannister has just revealed to her brother that she is (once again) pregnant with his child, and actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau weighs in on how his character Jaime is accepting all of this.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Coster-Waldau explains:

"There's that little tiny moment where he thinks, ‘Is this possible? Could I be allowed to be the father?' Because he's never really been allowed to be a father. He had that moment with Myrcella, the briefest of moments of feeling open about it, and now she's telling him that it won't be a secret. And so he's happy for maybe a millisecond before she goes ahead and ruins it by saying, ‘And don't ever betray me again.' Suddenly, he's like, ‘Oh, that's right. It's Darth Vader. I forgot that I've been fucking Darth Vader.'"

Though Jamie had been the father of all of Cersei's children in the show, it has been true that he hasn't been given the opportunity to actually participate in their lives because of the incestuous nature of his relationship with Cersei. With Cersei being one of the most powerful people in the kingdom now, however, she's going to do whatever she wants without caring about what anyone has to say.

Though Game of Thrones 7 has been nothing but spectacular so far, we're only getting a limited number of episodes this time, and episode six will be the second to the last episode of the season. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint at all.

Catch Game of Thrones 7 on HBO every Sunday night at 9 p.m.
