The Flash solo movie is one that hasn't been doing very well when it comes to pre-production, but it looks like WB is finally getting the wheels spinning on the project. The movie has been officially titled Flashpoint, and we get confirmation that other League members will be making an appearance in the film.
According to Forbes, Gal Gadot will be making an appearance as Wonder Woman in Flashpoint. There's no official statement on just how much of the movie she's in, but if we follow the comics, Wonder Woman could be one of the main villains.
In the Flashpoint Paradox, Barry Allen attempts to save his mother from death, resulting in an altered timeline where he doesn't have his powers, and everything has basically made a turn for the worse. In the story, Wonder Woman was the lead of the Amazons who were at war with the Atlanteans, leading to most of the destruction on Earth. This was a result of a messy love affair with Diana and Arthur Curry—one that ends with Diana beheading Atlantean queen Mera and wearing her helmet like some sick trophy.
Having Wonder Woman as a villain would be totally bonkers to see in Flashpoint, but I can see the DCEU wanting to keep Wonder Woman in a good light in the movie. You think the DCEU audience is ready for an alternate universe story?
Flashpoint is set to come out sometime in 2020. Justice League comes out Nov. 17.
