Gal Gadot Says Justice League’s “Tone Can’t Be Completely Different” After Joss Whedon’s Reshoots

Earlier this year, Zack Snyder decided to step down from the directorial seat of Justice League to focus on his family after losing his daughter. Handing the reigns over to Joss Whedon, rumors started swirling about that the Avengers and Batgirl director's work on the reshoots would change the entire atmosphere of the superhero film.

However, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot believes otherwise. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Gadot was asked about whether the controversy that Whedon's take on the film would change Snyder's vision for the film, and according to the DC Extended Universe actress, the tone of Justice League won't be "completely different."

"Look, Joss, to my understanding, was Zack's choice to finish the movie. And the tone can't be completely different because the movie was already shot. Joss is just fine-tuning."

The Israeli actress's comments certainly quell the rumors, lining up with Warner Bros. assurances that Justice League would remain the same despite having another director on board. Gadot also makes a fairly good point – it's hard to change the outcome of the entire film simply by doing reshoots. Whedon respects Snyder and is just making the necessary adjustments to the film.

Justice League hits cinemas November 17, 2017.
