First Trailer For Pacific Rim: Uprising Revealed at SDCC 2017

The first teaser trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising, the sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 sci-fi film, has been revealed at Comic-Con, and you can now watch it online here:

We get our first footage of John Boyega piloting a Jaeger, as well as a glimpse of new Jaegers that will be featured in the sequel. The website GoJaeger.com has also been launched, and it revealed five new Jaegers. Hopefully, this will surpass our expectations because I wasn't that impressed with the first film.

Synopsis:

It's been ten years since The Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Vindicated by the victory at the Breach, the Jaeger program has evolved into the most powerful global defense force in human history. The PPDC now calls upon the best and brightest to rise up and become the next generation of heroes. When the Kaiju threat returns, we will be ready.

The film was directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Marvel's Daredevil). The film also stars Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Lan Yingying, Qian Yongchen, Zhang Jin, and newcomers Cailee Spaeny and Chen Zitong.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is set to release in theaters on February 23, 2018.
