First Images from Godzilla: King of Monsters feature Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, and Godzilla

After last year's Kong: Skull Island, Legendary is ready to expand their Monsterverse with the sequel to 2014's Godzilla. Here's our first look at the iconic Kaiju in Godzilla: King of Monsters.

Director Michael Dougherty tells Entertainment Weekly:

"The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting… but there's paranoia and endless speculation about whether he is the only one out there or whether we're threatened by others like his kind."

With Godzilla taking on new monsters like the MUTO in the last film, this sequel promises to bring back, not one, but three classic Kaiju to the big screen. We have Rodan and Mothra, and best of all the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah.

As for the photo that was shared, Dougherty couldn't go into too much detail because it would give away too much, but he did say:

"… it takes place at a very key moment and it's a sort of call to arms."

So does that mean we're going to get 2-team monsters vs. monsters battles in this film? Hopefully we get more revealed come San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

Besidesthat, there's also this photo of Millie Bobby Brown and Vera Farmiga:

We don't know much yet about Brown's character, but we do know she'll be coming back for Godzilla vs. Kong. Farmiga has already explained that her character in this movie will be some sort of scientist who will find out a way to communicate to the kaiju.

Godzilla: King of Monsters is set to come out May 31, 2019.
