Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is Coming to PC, Has Exclusive Features

After coming to the PS4 last year to rave reviews, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be coming to PC next month. This is an enhanced port of the 2006 PS2 JRPG, which received a mixed reaction back then but has gotten plenty of love after some time has passed. PC gamers will be happy to know that this port will be getting a number of new features that aren't in the PS4 version.

While the PS4 version is locked at 30fps, the PC version can be played at 60fps, ensuring a much smoother experience for those that want to play the JRPG on their computer monitors. The Zodiac Age will also support 21:9 monitors for those that have the hardware to support it, so that's good.

Gameplay-wise, PC players will have a few new options as well. New Game Plus, which is usually unlocked after completing the main game, will be available from the start. Interestingly enough, the New Game Minus mode will also be available from the start. This lets players partake in an extra challenging variation of the story since players won't be able to earn experience points. Yikes.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age hits PC on February 1, 2018. It will be on Steam for US$49.99. The game is available now on PS4 in physical and digital editions.
