Fear The Immortal Hulk This June

Bruce Banner is back as The Hulk and it looks like he won't be dying anytime soon. Marvel has announced a new ongoing series called The Immortal Hulk, a moniker he has never had in any of his previous comics.

This is because the new series by writer Al Ewing and artist Joe Bennett will be going for a more horror-themed set of adventures for the Jade Giant. Spinning out of the events of Avengers: No Surrender, we're going to be getting a very new dynamic for Bruce Banner and The Hulk.

See, Bruce Banner can die. But Hulk cannot.

Speaking with CBR, Ewing and Bennett are hoping that the new title creeps people out. Banner will still attempt to use The Hulk for good, hoping to right any injustices he sees. It also seems like they will be going for a werewolf-like effect for the character, with Banner seemingly turning into the Hulk at night.

Ewing has confirmed a new supporting cast for the character. Jackie McGee, who comes from the old Hulk show, will be making her comic book debut. Sasquatch from Alpha Flight will also be a part of the book, who Ewing has described as a healthy version of The Hulk. Sasquatch was friends with Banner in college and their relationship will be explored in this new title.

The Immortal Hulk #1 comes out this June.
