Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Japanese Cast Announced

Everyone's excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." And now, those in Japan can be equally excited, as the official lineup of who will be dubbing the movie in Nihongo has been released.

Officially announced by Eiga (translated by Crunchyroll), the Japanese dub cast is led by none other than Mamoru Miyano as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). Miyano is most known for his portrayal of Light Yagami in Death Note, Rin Matsuoka in Free!, Gakushu Asano in Assassination Classroom, Masaomi Kida in Durarara!!, and the crazy weirdo Shuu Tsukiyama in Tokyo Ghoul, among others.

It's safe to say that he's one of the most popular seiyuus in Japan, and my own bias.

Other Japanese voice actors confirmed in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them include Sizuka Ito as Porpentina Goldstein, Aya Endoh as Queenie Goldstein, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Jacob Kowalski, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Percival Graves. I have to say, Percival's seiyuu is looking pretty good, too.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be out in Japan on Nov. 23. It be out in theaters some days after the U.S. release, but will be screened in both English and Japanese. There's no sample yet of the dubbing, but here's the trailer, so you can imagine some of the voice roles, if you will.
