Fantastic 4 Movie is Still in the Cards

Of all the Marvel superhero films, perhaps one that could never truly crossover the island of greatness is Fantastic Four. The earlier movie had starred a few catchy breakouts, including pre-Captain America's Chris Evans.

The most recent should have provided fans with a way to see the movie—perhaps a more scientific one—to explain the origins of the four heroes. Sadly, this also ended up tanking if not much more, especially since even the studio that created it thinks that the movie wasn't what they had intended to show.

However, apparently, 20^th Century Fox is not one to easily give up hope on the franchise. Speaking to Comicbook.com, Simon Kinberg, the co-writer and executive producer had shared that Fox still has some sort of plan for that set of heroes.

"Hutch [Parker] and I were together on Fantastic Four, the most recent one. We love that cast. Obviously, the movie wasn't what we wanted it to be and it wasn't received the way we wanted it to be. Yes, we would love to make another Fantastic Four movie. We feel like there's a great Fantastic Four movie to be made and I think it would hue closer to the tone of the original, the source material, the comics, but we want to make that movie."

This is admirable, to say the least, since the Fantastic Four films haven't received the best accolade either. But it should be noted that Marvel's franchises have been seeing better outputs. And breakthrough sleepers like Deadpool and the obviously successful Logan are also there, so there is hope that a previously unsuccessful franchise will find a good comeback or two.
