Expect Lando Calrissian to Wear Several Outfits for Solo: A Star Wars Story

The promo art and teasers for Solo: A Star Wars Story have mostly shown Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian in a yellow jacket and cape, but Glover himself teases that Lando will have several different outfits for the film.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly (via Collider), Glover describes Lando's sense of style:

"Lando's always the best-dressed person on that set. And I don't say that lightly. There's a lot of cool costumes and a lot of cool clothing. He takes pride in the clothing. It makes things easier. When people see you and you're debonair, they tend to want to give you stuff easier."

Of course, this doesn't mean that everything Lando wears will turn out to be a hit. Earlier this month, Glover had said that Lando's style was a bit hodgepodge, and that the character didn't know how to dress himself yet. I'm sure Lando's outfits are going to be a source of jokes for the film, and we'll be seeing him wear a bunch of different capes.

Though a lot of scrutiny has gone with Alden Ehrenreich's casting as Han, a lot of praise has been put to Donald Glover being cast as Lando. With Lando being one of the smoothest people in the original trilogy, it's only right that Lucasfilm would find someone who was the modern equivalent of Billy Dee Williams.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25.
