Marvel actors simply can't do anything without being noticed by fans these days. Evangeline Lilly recently showed off a cute pixie haircut. Naturally, people began speculating that the Ant-Man and the Wasp star is adopting Janet van Dyne's trademark look in the comic books.
Lilly posted her picture on her official Instagram account confirming she is heading for Osaka in Japan. The image features the former Lost actress with shorter hair, causing fans to wonder if she is paying tribute to the original Wasp and her trademark pixie cut. Check it out below.
Although it would be cool if Lilly simply chopped her hair off to pay tribute to the comic book character, she might be wearing a wig in the image. Her other pictures from her trip to Japan show that the actress still wears her long brown hair in a ponytail.
There were also speculations that Hope van Dyne will be adopting Janet's comic book look in Avengers 4. However, it has not yet been confirmed if Lilly is filming for the highly anticipated sequel. For now, we can confirm that she is busy with press tours for Ant-Man and the Wasp.
But what are the chances that Hope will return for a third Ant-Man film? Marvel has not yet confirmed another sequel. Nevertheless, we are hoping that we will see more of The Wasp in action in the future MCU movies.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is one of the 20 MCU films that will be screened on IMAX in celebration of Marvel Studios' 10th anniversary. The movies will be back in IMAX theaters starting August 30 until September 6.
