Evangeline Lilly Shares First Official Look At Wasp’s New Costume For Ant-Man 2

Ant-Man and the Wasp still has a long way to go till it sees release, but with production rolling, Marvel star Evangeling Lilly has decided to give fans a taste of excitement but revealing the first look of her character, Hope van Dyne, in the Wasp suit.

Taking to Twitter, Lilly decided to share a photo of Hope in the Wasp suit to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Jack Kirby, one of Wasp's creators. Kirby co-created the original Wasp, Janat Van Dyne, Hope's mother, with Stan Lee back in the 1960's. The character was introduced in Tales to Astonish #44 back in 1963, and eventually became a founding member of the Avengers.

Writing on the post, the caption reads:

"I am honoured to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby's 100th birthday. #ThankYouJackKirby #AntManAndTheWasp"

While Janet's Wasp costume takes on a palette of gold, red, blue and silver, this new supersuit for Hank's (Michael Douglas) daughter has the new Wasp in a get-up with a navy blue, silver and red theme. It contrasts with Scott Edward Harris Lang's red and silver Ant-Man costume, but it looks good nonetheless.

Lilly doesn't confirm where the photo is taken, but from the looks of it, it seems like Wasp's dropping by a children's classroom. Wonder what she's doing there.

Ant-Man and the Wasp premieres on July 6, 2018.
