Echo Kellum Says Mister Terrific Will Be on 'Arrow' Next Season

When Echo Kellum was first introduced as Curtis Holt on Arrow, many speculated that he would take on the superhero alter ego of Mister Terrific. It looks like that might finally be happening in the upcoming season, according to an interview with Kellum by ComicBook. "I can definitely say you'll see it this season, 100%. You won't have to wait too long," Kellum assured everyone.

Kellum noted that he'd already worn Mister Terrific's iconic jacket with "Fairplay" stamped across it in the episode "Haunted", but people hadn't really seemed to notice. Kellum talked about how his character was "hitting the gym" now, which was different from the "jargon and tecnobabble" the character had previously been all about.

Kellum confirmed the show will be using the name Mister Terrific, saying "There's a lot of layers to Curtis. When he's in the Mister Terrific persona, he's definitely different." He went on to say "It's really cool to dive into that aspect of him, and play him a little different, more confident and sure of himself." When it comes to his upcoming role in the show, Kellum is most excited about the character's "trajectory in playing different aspects of him... And punching people in the face. That's really exciting."

Mr. Terrific first debuted in a 1997 issue of Spectre as Micheal Holt. He based his persona off a Golden Age superhero by the same name. Holt is a master martial artist with a genius mind, who makes extensive use of nanotechnology wihen fighting crime.

Arrow Season 5 will premiere October 5th at 8 PM. Curtis Holt will be featured as a regular.

Mister Terrific is an interesting character, so it's good he's getting a chance to shine. Are you excited to see this hero?
