This is it. EA has officially announced Star Wars Battlefront 2's first look at next month's Star Wars Celebration today, confirming the title of the next Battlefront game.
Though EA Executives have made public discussions and announcements regarding a sequel to the Star Wars Battlefront of EA DICE, this is the first time that the studio has confirmed the title of the sequel, officially naming it Battlefront 2. More importantly, the studio has also announced that the first trailer for the game will appear at Star Wars Celebration.
Fans at the event can check it out during the panel of "The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront." Those who can't attend the event can check out the trailer on line and watch as the Battlefront 2 developers from DICE, Criterion and Motive bring with them a glimpse at the highly anticipated videogame.
Fans have been hoping for a new and updated Battlefront 2 for a long, long time, hoping that EA will finally deliver that single player campaign that the original Battlefront failed to bring. Let's hope that the game's first trailer delivers and gets fans geared up for Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
The Battlefront 2 trailer will be shown at "Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront 2" on April 15 at 2:30 pm ET or 11:30 am PT.
