E3 2017: Final Fantasy XV VR Experience Trailer Released

Final Fantasy XV seems far from suffering from a last-hurrah syndrome. Though a few of its updates weren't as well-received or useful, that hasn't stopped Square Enix from rolling out not just new updates, but also new experiences.

Such is the case for the confirmed virtual reality spinoff game. Before you imagine experiencing fights firsthand through VR, think again, because it focuses solely on one thing: fishing.

That's right, the new PlayStation VR experience is titled Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV. The VR experience already has a trailer, seen below, and it's really all about fishing.

We see the boys at camp, and it looks like we'll be fishing as Noctis in Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV. it's far from the battle experience that would've been a nice touch, but I guess they have to start somewhere.

There's all kinds of fish to be caught in the VR experience, but it isn't limited to just catching fish for Ignis to cook at camp. We see a mammoth in the distance, monsters, and a piranha-looking monster with jagged teeth coming at you. I wonder what will happen if you take a bite straight to the face, like in the trailer.

Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV is coming this September.
