E3 2016: Nintendo Announces Zelda-Centric E3 Plans

This year, Nintendo's E3 presentation will revolve around The Legend of Zelda.

According to IGN, at 9 am PT on June 14, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime will be launching off a day-long stream of Nintendo Treehouse: Live, which will feature special commentaries from Nintendo developers, as well as behind-the-scenes information.

For the first time ever, the next Legend of Zelda game will be playable at the show, and it will be the only playable game at Nintendo's booth. The company hopes that by giving the fans a chance to play the game, they would gain deeper understanding of what to expect from it.

The Legend of Zelda is a departure from previous games in the franchise since it will be more open-world compared to previous games. New features will also be added. The game recently got delayed until 2017 so Nintendo could improve its quality. Of course, this means that Nintendo fans will have to endure a slow year. I'm sure it's going to be worth the wait. Well, at least Final Fantasy XVwill be released this year.
