Dragon Ball Super is Getting A Historic Primetime Return

Toei Animation

Back in April, Toei Animation wrapped up the Dragon BallSuper on episode 131, and while fans are waiting for the first Dragon Ball Super movie to come out, the US audience is still catching up with the English dub of the anime series, and now the show is heading to a primetime slot.

This is a historic shift for the popular anime series and I'm wondering why this never happened earlier.

Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has announced that Dragon Ball Super is taking its first primetime weekday slot in over a decade once July arrives. As King of the Hill goes off air on July 2, Dragon Ball Super will take its place on Adult Swim at 7 p.m. CST.

If you want to catch Dragon Ball Super on its primetime slot, you'll have to bear with re-runs of the show for a while as the series will start off on episode 1 but if you want to watch the latest English dub version, you can catch it every Saturday at 9 p.m. on Adult Swim.

Dragon Ball Super is available for streaming on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon. The upcoming Dragon Ball Super film will be released on December 14.
