Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and the rest of the fighters will return later this year. The anime series may have wrapped back in April but the new movie is already getting fans hyped thanks to the revelation that the film will focus on a classic Saiyan villain named Broly. Now, one of the producers has revealed some details about the film.

Dragon Ball recently had an official interview with producer Norihiro Hayashida, and he shared some details about the film that fans would be glad to know.

As the translations via Herms98 said, Hayashida confirmed Akio Iyoku's description of the new film being a "grand space opera." Hayashida went on to confirm about the film's epic storyline that the Dragon Ball Room chief used to describe the film earlier this year.

"I wondered if Dragon Ball could pull that off, but it all clicked one I read the storyline," Hayashida said.

According to Hayashida, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has been far more involved with the film than any before, saying that after the film's storyline was delivered in June 2017, Toriyama worked closely with the producer to finalize designs. Because of that, Toriyama gave "far more designs to Hayashida for the film than any other Dragon Ball films.

The producer also said that the movie's team has been working hard to make sure they meet the deadlines. Hayashida said that Toriyama had more time to check over the whole film, and thanks to Toei's creation of the Dragon Ball Room for helping coordinate this process.
