Dragon Ball Super: Goku’s New Super Saiyan Form Is Finally Revealed

It was only a matter of time before Dragon Ball Super revealed a new transformation for Goku. The current Tournament of Power arc has taken a toll on our heroes, and it looks like Super Saiyan Blue just won't cut it anymore, even with some Kaioken added. After plenty of teases and speculation, Goku's new Super Saiyan form has finally been revealed.

Japanese magazine V-Jump showed the new transformation in all of it's glory, but did not detail how Goku got the form. Fans can see the image from a Twitter fan below, and it's definitely different from previous Super Saiyan tiers. Goku's hair might be spiked up, but the color stays the same for once, which is interesting.

Prior to the V-Jump reveal, one of Toei Animation's producers released a teaser image of the transformation earlier this year, but had Goky facing his back. It got fans talking about the new form, and it should lead to an epic final battle in the current Tournament of Power arc.

Dragon Ball Super has already introduced a number of new transformations for Goku, like Super Saiyan God and the redundantly named Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, which was later shortened to Super Saiyan Blue. Goku even combined Super Saiyan Blue with his old Kaioken technique, which helped him defeat Hit during the Universe 6 arc. Only time will tell how impactful this new form will be.

Fans can check out all the episodes of Dragon Ball Super in Crunchyroll. Toonami currently airs the English dub of the anime.
