Dr. Ian Malcolm Returns: Jeff Goldblum Joins Jurassic World 2


Jeff Goldblum is heading back to the land of dinosaurs as he is set to appear in the Jurassic World sequel, Variety reports.The actor co-starred in 1993's Jurassic Park and 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, where he played Dr. Ian Malcolm.

The next Jurassic World film will be directed by J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls), and stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to return for the sequel. Other stars includeJustice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones. Jurassic World and Star Wars: Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow wrote the script for the sequel for the next installment with Derek Connolly.

In the first two films of the Jurassic franchise, the 64-year-old actor played Dr. Ian Malcolm, a know-it-all mathematician who went to Jurassic Park as an insurance consultant.

Goldblum, who recently starred in Independence: Resurgence, will appear in Thor: Ragnarok, which is set to release in U.S. theaters on November 3.
