Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple is probably the glue that holds all the Marvel Netflix series together since she has appeared in every show from Daredevil to Iron Fist. News has it, however, that Claire will not be appearing in the Punisher spinoff series. What gives?
During an interview with Collider, Dawson herself confirmed that the issue was because of scheduling. She says:
"People are busy! There are so many times where I really want it to happen. I really wanted to do a cameo on The Punisher, but it doesn't always work that way."
Seeing that Claire is usually on the lighter side of things whenever she shows up, it might be hard trying to bring her into the much grittier and violent world of The Punisher. I just can't imagine her saying quips at Frank Castle while he's probably scraping bits of brain off the bottom of his shoe.
Fans of Claire Temple shouldn't fret, however, since she'll be making a comeback in the team-up series, The Defenders. Sure, Punisher isn't part of the main team, but I'm not counting out a possible cameo in the series.
No specific release dates have been announced for The Defenders or The Punisher, but both shows are expected to air in Netflix sometime later this year.
