Fans were quite happy when Donald Glover was announced as Lando Calrissian for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Glover has been one of the more well-liked performers in recent years, thanks to various TV roles and his music as Childish Gambino. So when fans find out how Glover reacted when he got the role of Lando, they will smile.
During an interview with The Star Wars Show, Glover revealed what he did when he got the role. Apparently, he bought a box of pizza and decided to rewatch The Empire Strikes Back, where Lando first debuted.
No, really:
"The day I found out I got [the part], I remember... I bought like, a whole pizza, and went home and watched Empire Strikes Back."
Most Star Wars fans do that anyway, particularly on May 4, so seeing an actor do it after getting a role is nice. It shows that Glover is a fan and given how he's usually pretty good in movies, he will likely knock it out of the park as Lando.
Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out on May 25.
