Doctor Who’s Paul McGann Wants Tilda Swinton to Replace Peter Capaldi

Earlier this week Doctor Who's tenth Doctor, Peter Capaldi, announced that this year's series would be his last run as the regenerating Time Lord in BBC's long running time traveling, science fiction series and it seems like fans have been busy trying to predict which actor or actress could become the eleventh Doctor in the show.

While Capaldi has placed his bets on Harry Potter and Rising Damp star Frances de la Tour, Doctor Who's eight Doctor, Paul McGann has decided to put his hopes on having Doctor Strange star Tilda Swinton bag the role of the Eleventh Doctor after Capaldi steps down after this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Taking to Twitter, McGann expressed his thoughts on who should take the role of the next Doctor by sharing a picture of an oddly colored Swinton.

BBC hasn't made any announcements so far as to which actors and actresses they've been considering, but it would be great if the network considered Swinton for the role. Not only is the actress critically acclaimed, but Swinton could also add in her own flavor to the series with her quiet brand of humor.

Doctor Who series 10 makes its big premiere on BBC 1 and BBC America on April 15.
