Doctor Who: Read Mean Comments About The 13th Doctor As Episode Titles

BBC has just made a bold move by casting Jodie Whittaker as the first ever female Doctor for Doctor Who, and as expected, there was a lot of backlash from some fans. TechnicallyRon on Twitter, has handpicked some of the meanest comments about the casting, and has hilariously turned them into future episode titles.

I never thought Sexism would make me chuckle:

To be fair, I understand how altering the Doctor's gender could change so much about the character (is River Song a lesbian now?), but I think BBC knows what it's doing with the series, and some people are still happy with the reveal. I mean, who the hell thinks that "Time travel is for men and men only."

I have to admit, I was surprised that BBC decided to go with a female Doctor. Following the rumors, some people were lead to believe that BBC was planning to reboot the character with the classic David Tennant formula—a young and charming Doctor followed by a female companion. We'll just have to wait and see what Whittaker brings to the series.

It's also worth noting that Chris Chibnall will now be taking the reigns as showrunner for Doctor Who, with longtime EP Steven Moffat stepping down. Let's hope Chibnall shakes things up when he introduces us to this new Doctor.

Peter Capaldi's Doctor is expected to regenerate in the coming Doctor Who Christmas Special, and Whittaker's official run as the Doctor starts in 2018.
