Doctor Strange Finally Arrives On Set of Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is hitting cinemas in a little less than a year from now and production's on a roll. Marvel has its work cut out for it with more than 60 Avengers set for the massive superhero mash-up movie, and Marvel stars have been busy getting on set and working on their different scenes.

The most recent arrival is Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. Though he was confirmed to reprise his role as the Sorcerer Supreme, Cumberbatch was one of those fashionably late to the party. Earlier this year there had been reports of a stand-in for the British actor on set, causing many to wonder how long he'd be away from the set.

Now it seems like Doctor Strange has finally come in with his fancy cape. Jay Funk, Cumberbatch's movement coach has just announced on Twitter the arrival of the Doctor Strange after previously declaring that he was eading to Atlanta to work on "that one movie."

This is great news for fans. Many loved Cumberbatch's take on Stephen Strange and were pretty excited when they heard he'd be fighting along with the Avengers in Infinity War. With Cumberbatch arriving shortly after Chadwick Boseman, fans have to wonder whether the two might finally meet face to face on the big screen. We'll just have to wait and see.

Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas May 4, 2018.
