Disney Parks Reveals More Details On Star Wars Hotel

Disney held its D23 Expo Japan yesterday, and it looks like the Mickey Mouse House has given Star Wars fans a bit of new information on its upcoming Star Wars-themed resort.

According to Disney Parks, the hotel inspired by Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away will offer guests a brand new Star Wars experience. Guests journey across the galaxy begins when everyone departs for the Star Wars adventure by riding a starship filled with all sorts of characters and plot arcs.

Once the guests arrive at the resort, they become active citizens of the galaxy and dress in the proper attire for the Star Wars experience. According to the report, every window at the resort will view out into space, giving guests the best sense of Star Wars immersion. And that's not all. Disney is also planning to connect the resort to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

That seems like a lot of work for a resort, but it's exciting to think about what kind of stories might pop when fans vacation at the place for a week or so. The Star Wars hotel doesn't have an opening date yet, however it's likely that the resort will open after the launch of Galaxy's Edge which is expected to open in Disney World and Disneyland sometime in 2019.
