Disney CEO Praises The Last Jedi as “Perfect Chapter” of Star Wars Saga

The Disney shareholders meeting for 2017 bears a lot of interesting tidbits for Star Wars fans.

While discussing proposals and the direction of the company, Disney has been sharing a few clips from their upcoming movies like Beauty and the Beast, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Thor: Ragnarok and of course, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

According to a report by Comicbook, Disney CEO Bob Iger also talked about the future of the Star Wars franchise, turning to the upcoming film installment and praising it as a "perfect chapter" of the Star Wars saga. The studio's head honcho also went on to say that as one of the very few people who's already seen The Last Jedi that he can promise everyone that "it's worth the wait."

Though it may sound like something easy for Iger to say considering that The Last Jedi is one of Disney's films, Iger has never been known to trivialize his announcements. The Disney CEO didn't say that the film was "great" or "better" than its predecessor, Force Awakens. He said it was a "perfect chapter," setting the bar of expectations higher for fans. Let's hope that The Last Jedi really lives up to it.
