Director David Ayer Teases 'Many Cool Things' For Suicide Squad Are Coming

With a plethora of promotions Warner Bros. has already released for Suicide Squad, it seems that the film would be released already, but according to director David Ayer, it seems that we haven't seen anything yet.

His latest tweet suggests that more exciting things will be revealed for his DC film: "Get ready folks. So many cool things about to happen! #SuicideSquad."

In an interview with Total Film Magazine (via Comicbook), David described how he was approached for the project, "You have to be true to the source material, but at the same time, I want to give the characters a real psychology and make them feel of our world. For me the fun is creating the illusion that you can walk down the street and run into Harley Quinn, or see the Joker driving along."

Ayer also discussed the challenge of making the villainous main cast likeable: "With a good guy you automatically like them because they do the right thing…But with bad guys it's more of a creative challenge – How do you get an audience to like a villain," he asked."

Suicide Squad is set to release in theaters on August 5, 2016.
