Did This Dragon Ball Game Just Feature A Story After The Tournament of Power?

Over the years, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has approved content for his popular anime franchise but some of them are not considered canon. However, it looks like the upcoming Dragon Ball mobile game will have a connection to the canon.

Dragon Ball Legends recently took it to Twitter to reveal new details about its concept, and there's one tweet that left some fans wondering because it hinted a possible canon connection and featured Broly.

As the tweet below confirms, the mobile game will have three modes, including Story Mode. According to the tweet, the game's arc is set directly after Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power, a major event of the anime's Universal Survival arc.

Although the tweet didn't say how the game is directly connected to Dragon Ball Super, many are still wondering if its story will be considered canon. The developers worked with Akira Toriyama but he didn't say anything about his work in it. Reports said that they told the story of Dragon Ball Legends to Toriyama and he went to design a new Saiyan called Shallot, but it remains unclear if the game's story is considered canon or not.

The inclusion of Broly is also intriguing because as the fandom knows, he's not considered canon. Toei Animation has already confirmed that the series will carry on beyond the Tournament of Power, but we still have to wait for the game to flesh out its story to find out if it connects to the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie and if it's meant to be canon.

Dragon Ball Legends, for iOS and Android, will be available in Summer 2018.
