Did Disney Make It Official That Boba Fett Survived the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi?

Boba Fett is the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy far far away, a badass villain that a lot of fans adore, but after he was inadvertently knocked into the jaws of the Sasrlacc pit by a blinded Han Solo in Return of the Jedi, whether he survived it or not still remains up for debate.

In the Expanded Universe, the fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett is known for suffering the weakest death in the entire series, but since that's no longer canon, Disney and Lucasfilm seem to recitify that, with the newly-released tralier for DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront, which seemingly confirming that Fett did survive the fall.

A lot of fans are claiming that the screenshot (the image shown above) is from the Battle of Jakku DLC that's set to be available right before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December. It will depict "the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim [and takes place] in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor". As you can see, Boba Fett takes emerges at the center of the screen, and if you look at the top right you'll notice a Star Cestroyer crashing to the ground, which might be the same Star Destroyer we've seen in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser.

According to Lucasfilm, Star Wars: Battlefront is canon, so if this game accurately recreates the experience from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, that means that Boba Fett is still alive in the Star Wars Universe. But there's been debate over whether the screenshot depicts the planet Jakku or Tatooine. However, seeing the Star Destroyer that resembles the one in The Force Awakens here is too much of a coincidence for it to be in Tatooine.
