Diablo III: Eternal Collection Officially Coming to Switch With Exclusive Zelda Content

After a brief tease that seemingly went nowhere, it was accidentally revealed that Diablo III Eternal Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. The announcement was meant to be revealed later in the week but Forbes accidentally spilled the beans early, though they have since deleted the article Reddit users were able to catch the details. Still, it's an announcement that fans are happy to hear since the action RPG lends itself to handheld adventures.

Fans might scoff at the announcement since the game will remain full-price at US$59.99, which is a bit expensive for a game that came out years ago. Still, players that own the console will be getting the full game plus an expansion pack and some loot that will be exclusive to Nintendo players.

Legend of Zelda fans will be happy to know that there will be some gear in the game that makes their character look like Ganondorf, which is a neat bonus. If you aren't a fan of Hyrule Warriors, this could be a fun way to play as the character.

The game also features various multiplayer options. Four players can play on one console with four controllers or bring a console each for handheld sessions. Online co-op is also an option so if you have a good internet connection, this is an ideal option as well.

For those living under a rock, Diablo III is the third game in Blizzard's acclaimed action RPG series. It has gotten a ton of praise for being addictive, thanks to the real-time combat and numerous loot drops, as well as offering plenty of replayability.

Diablo III has no definite release date but it is slated for 2018, so keep your fingers crossed. The game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, so if you don't care too much about handheld gaming, these versions of the game are available.
