Deadpool SNL Petition Reaches a Whopping 25,000 Signatures

I guess it won't be long before Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool will be hosting Saturday Night Live.

Less than 24 hours ago, the online petition at Change.Org started making its rounds asking Ryan Reynolds to host SNL as Deadpool. Now, signatures have reached more than 20,000, 25,877 as of this moment to be exact.

Created by avid fan Andrew Stege, the petition is asking TV producer Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live, and Reynolds to feature the Merc with a Mouth on SNL:

I have not watched a full episode ofSNLin years because I just haven't been able to stomach an entire episode, but having Deadpool host, star, and be all over the episode would get the DVR set so I can watch it again and again!

I can't really say how the petition merits a spot at change.org. It isn't exactly a social concern; however, it is amusing and there have been similar petitions in the past, such as requesting Betty White and even the Cookie Monster to host SNL.

We're not sure how this will turn out. Anything could happen in the world of entertainment, but it wouldn't be surprising if Lorne Michaels would agree since Deadpool would attrack high ratings for sure.
