Last year, we saw Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin having a passionate scene together in Deadpool. The R-rated film featured explicit violence and bloody violence, but it was the film's raunchy sex scenes that surprised fans. Wade Wilson and Morena Bacarrin's character Vanessa were having sex in various holidays, and it turns out that several sex scenes didn't make it in the final cut, and the actress was glad they never did.
Baccarin showed up at Conan O'Brien and discussed her with both of her comic book projects, Deadpool and DC's Gotham. When talking about the former, Baccarin revealed that they filmed a lot more sex scenes but she was glad that they were ultimately cut.
"We ended up leaving just a lot on the cutting room floor, because there are a lot of holidays, " Baccarin explained. "And I feel good about that---the part that was left out. I literally mean that [was] enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie."
Deadpool still managed to squeeze in a lot of erotic footage, showing the couple having sex on several holidays like Valentine's Day, International Women's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more but as Conan addressed, they weren't just sensual, they were also comedic, and that's what made them entertaining. Those scenes will probably not be released, but at least we could expect to see more of the couple being wild in the Deadpool sequel, which is expected to hit theaters next year.
Deadpool is being directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hindelbrand), Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kaprinic) and taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) are expected to reprise their roles. The sequel will also introduce the time-traveling mutant Cable (played by Josh Brolin) and X-Force member Domino (Zazie Beetz). Deadpool 2 will be released on June 1, 2018.
